Community Reporting Award for Young Journalists

The Religion Media Centre is to present a £1,000 prize to a young journalist who has shown excellent knowledge and skill in reporting a story covering communities and some aspect of religious life

Outline

In order to encourage the highest editorial and journalistic standards in the reporting of stories about religion, the Religion Media Centre is to present a prize worth £1,000 to a young journalist who has shown excellent knowledge and skill in reporting communities and religious life, in the 12 months leading up to and including 30 April 2024.

The entries will be reviewed and shortlist made by the Religion Media Centre team and the winner chosen from the shortlist by a panel of experienced religious reporters.

The prize will be presented at the Religion Media Festival to be held in June 2024.

We are grateful to Mr John Pickering for his generous donation of the prize money.
