The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the persecution faced by millions of Christians worldwide according to the global charity Open Doors International in its annual report. Its “World Watch List” ranks the 50 countries where Christians face the worst persecution, with North Korea topping the list. The report says Christians have been denied aid, subjected to increased surveillance and in some cases, blamed for the virus.
In this RMC briefing, Rosie Dawson invited Ron Boyd-MacMillan, Open Doors’ global analyst, and Julia Bicknell, executive director of World Watch Monitor, to unpack the report’s findings.
