Far right activist Tommy Robinson was reported to have been converted while in prison. Christian journalist David Campanale followed the march, spoke to Christians and was assaulted and chased away by other marchers. Church leaders spoke out in alarm, including Bishop Arun Arora who urged Christians to ‘reclaim the flag and the faith‘. A Guardian editorial urged churches to counter the far right’s ‘pseudo Christian posturing’.
